World's Longest Sea Bridge in the Spotlight
2008-03-21 From CRI

This photo taken on March 20, 2008 shows the floodlit Hangzhou Bay Bridge.
The lights on Hangzhou Bay Bridge, the world's longest sea bridge, shone in the dark on Thursday evening.
The bridge spans Hangzhou Bay, stretching 36 kilometers from Ningbo to Jiaxing. Construction work was completed in June last year, after a total investment of 11.8 billion yuan (1.7 billion US dollars).
It is scheduled to open to traffic in April, shortening the travel distance between Shanghai and Ningbo by 120 kilometers, which can be covered in two and a half hours.
